It was 64 years go this month that the US, in its then simmering Cold War with the Soviet Union, achieved one of its most startlingly and surprising victories.  All it involved was a yearly, Russian-sponsored music contest and an unassuming young piano virtuoso from Texas named Van Cliburn and his skilled beyond-his-years interpretation of […]

Green Days Are Here

Sunshine and warmer temperatures this month have brought more people outside for activities or just to enjoy that spring has arrived on campus.

In the News: Needle-Free Epinephrine Options Are On the Horizon

Marcus Shaker, a professor of pediatrics, is cited on WebMD for a simulation he undertook to determine how long patients who had an anaphylactic reaction should be watched in a hospital emergency room after being treated with epinephrine.

Quoted: Bruce Vrooman in 'Psychology Today'

"When it comes to treating some patients with complex chronic pain," says the associate professor of anesthesiology, "low-dose naltrexone appears to be more effective and well-tolerated than the big-name opioids that dominated pain management for decades."

On-location video is back, and safe

Posted: 26 Apr 2022 11:15 PM PDT

Home footage from iPhones and Zoom meetings worked well.

It was safe, it was what we had to work with, and it worked.

But on-location footage is shot on-location for a reason: It captures a more authentic connection with the audience.

Check out this video we did for Thought Trace

But are they safe? Why are we shooting on-location videos during continued times of COVID?

We’ve learned a lot over the past 2 years about social distancing, masking and PPE equipment.

We have mandated safety protocols in place, which minimize the risk to any member involved in the shoot. We take no chances. All of which were in place during the shooting of this video.

The fact that on-location video works is indisputable — they’re the champion of bottom-of-funnel content.

So we now live in a world where we can be safe, and continue creating video that sells products.

Please let me know if you would like to talk about a video project for your next campaign.

We would also be happy to explain our safety protocols if you’re interested.

Cheers,

Michelle Anderson
