Sunshine and warmer temperatures this month have brought more people outside for activities or just to enjoy that spring has arrived on campus.

In the News: Needle-Free Epinephrine Options Are On the Horizon

Marcus Shaker, a professor of pediatrics, is cited on WebMD for a simulation he undertook to determine how long patients who had an anaphylactic reaction should be watched in a hospital emergency room after being treated with epinephrine.

"When it comes to treating some patients with complex chronic pain," says the associate professor of anesthesiology, "low-dose naltrexone appears to be more effective and well-tolerated than the big-name opioids that dominated pain management for decades."
