Reminder: ODOE Holding Public Meeting May 11 for Floating Offshore Wind Study The Oregon Department of Energy will hold a public meeting on May 11 to share preliminary key findings from its study on the benefits and challenges of integrating up to 3 GW of floating offshore wind into Oregon's electric grid by 2030. The May 11 meeting will have a hybrid format – you can join in-person in North Bend, OR or you can join virtually via WebEx. There will be a public comment period at the end of the meeting to hear additional input pertaining to Oregon's FOSW Study from in-person and online attendees. The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) and the Oregon Department of Land Conservation & Development (DLCD) will also be present to provide informational updates. BOEM will share information about the Federal call for information and nominations (Call) for commercial leasing for wind energy development offshore. DLCD will share information about the Oregon Offshore Wind Mapping Tool (OROWindMap). Note: Comments pertaining to the BOEM Oregon Call are outside the scope of the public comment agenda item.
