SUNBATHING WOMAN RUN OVER AT THE BEACH BY FLORIDA SHERIFF'S SUV A Florida sheriff's deputy ran over a woman who was sunbathing at St. Pete Beach, seriously injuring her. Authorities said Deputy Todd Brien was speaking to pedestrians on the beach before being dispatched to investigate a 911 hang-up call. Deputy Brien "made a right turn" as he left to respond to the call and drove over a 23-year-old woman "while she was lying on her back in the sand," the sheriff's office said. [HuffPost]
