Martin Luther King III Issues Call to Action

In a keynote speech at the Social Justice Awards last night, 60 years after his father spoke at Dartmouth, Martin Luther King III said democracy itself is on the ballot and urged voter action on such issues as gun violence. He also led a moment of silence for the victims of the recent mass shooting in Buffalo, N.Y.

A Wall Street Journal essay on the 2018-2020 trade war cites a paper co-authored by Davin Chor, Tuck School of Business associate professor and chair of the academic cluster on globalization, that used satellite imagery of lights in industrial areas of China to show the impact tariffs had on production. "If there are enough elements that are similar to what they experienced in the actual event, then it ends up retraumatizing that child," says the associate professor of psychiatry about residential treatment facilities that try to manage children by restraining or isolating them.
