As you must know by now, the Supreme Court is poised to dismantle abortion rights. Most people suspected this before; now we're all but certain of it, thanks to a leaked draft opinion in which Justice Samuel Alito writes that the landmark cases guaranteeing abortion rights should be cast aside. This isn't final. But it is scary. It's based on faulty science, outdated claims and racist arguments. It's nakedly political from a branch of government that insists — untruthfully — that it's above all that.
