Reviewers Needed for New Program Proposals
The Commission continues to have a need for reviewers for new educator preparation program proposals. All reviews will be completed remotely and coordinated through technology. These reviews provide an opportunity to continue your involvement in peer reviews and collaboration with your colleagues. Public Input Survey on the Draft PK-3 ECE Specialist Credential Program Standards is Now Available
A survey<https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/XC2TTDC> for public input regarding the draft PK-3 ECE Specialist Credential Program Standards is now available here<https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/XC2TTDC>. The deadline for responding to the survey is Tuesday, April 26, 2022.
Respondents to this Program Standards survey should be knowledgeable about early learning and development as well as the scope of teaching and learning responsibilities of early childhood educators who serve young children between age three and third grade in a variety of California schools and settings. ECE practitioners, Multiple Subject Credential holders particularly those teaching grades PK through third grade, school administrators with PK-3 grades at their site, ECE and Multiple Subject teacher educators from two- and four-year institutions of higher education, as well as others from communities of interest in the field are encouraged to respond.

Request for Application (RFA): California Classified School Employee Teacher Credentialing Program
The state allocated $125 million one-time Proposition 98 General Fund to expand the Classified School Employee Teacher Credentialing Program (Classified Grant Program) for five years. Grant awards of up to $4,800 per participant per year may be made to funded applicants. Eligible applicants are Local Education Agencies (LEAs)-school districts, county offices of education, or charter schools interested in securing grant funding to recruit and support classified staff who already hold an associate or higher degree to complete a bachelor's degree and earn a California teaching credential. The Request for Application for this grant opportunity is now available, and proposals must be received at the Commission by 5:00 PM PDT, on Friday, June 10, 2022. Committee of Credentials Vacancy
The Commission on Teacher Credentialing is seeking applications to fill a vacancy for the Elementary Teacher and School Board Member positions on the Committee of Credentials. The final filing date for applications has been extended to May 25, 2022.

Accreditation Data System (ADS) Report Decks
The ADS is now open for the 2021-22 academic year. All program report decks must be initially created by May 31, 2022. Please review the updated question guides to find information on some of the updates to program reporting questions for the 2021-22 academic reporting year. The Computer Science Supplementary Authorization Incentive Grant Request for Applications (RFA)
The California state budget signed by the Governor in July 2021 includes $15 million in funding for the Computer Science Supplementary Authorization Incentive Grant Program. One time grant awards of up to $2,500 per participating teacher are available to Local Education Agencies (LEAs) to support credentialed teachers to obtain a supplementary authorization in computer science and provide instruction in computer science coursework in settings authorized by the underlying credential. Digging Deeper: Evidenced-Based Best Practices in Performance Assessment, Spring 2022
The Performance Assessment Team is hosting its spring quarterly professional development session for all educator preparation programs that prepare candidates to submit either the CalTPA or CalAPA.
This third interactive session will be on April 20th, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. via Zoom. The topic will be Developmentally Appropriate Social Emotional Learning, featuring a panel of CalTPA and CalAPA program personnel who will discuss ways in which programs may support candidates in relation to this important topic. Please bring your thoughts, contributions, and questions.

Evaluation Systems is currently accepting applications for assessors to assist with the scoring of the Pilot Test submissions of the Early Childhood Education CalTPA (ECE CalTPA). We are especially in need of ECE practitioners at the Teacher permit level.
