BIDEN IS CONSIDERING 'SIGNIFICANT' STUDENT LOAN DEBT CANCELLATION President Joe Biden suggested to lawmakers that he is not only looking at further extending the pause on federal student loan payments, but could soon announce a broader cancellation of student loan debt. "And I understand how that can lead to some misinterpretation." [HuffPost] EUROPEAN LEADERS BLAST CUTOFF OF RUSSIAN GAS AS 'BLACKMAIL' European leaders blasted Russia's decision to cut natural gas shipments to Poland and Bulgaria as "blackmail," saying the cutoff and the Kremlin's warning that it might cease shipments to other countries is a failed attempt to divide the West over its support for Ukraine. "The era of Russian fossil fuel in Europe is coming to an end," said E.U. Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. [AP] BOEING CEO LAMENTS DEAL WITH TRUMP FOR AIR FORCE ONE PLANES David Calhoun, Boeing's CEO, is lamenting the deal his company cut with former President Donald Trump to produce new Air Force One jets. "Air Force One I'm just going to call a very unique moment, a very unique negotiation, a very unique set of risks that Boeing probably should not have taken," he said. TENNESSEE REPUBLICAN SUGGESTS BOOKS DEEMED INAPPROPRIATE SHOULD BE BURNED Tennessee Republicans advanced legislation that would place more scrutiny over what books are allowed in public schools libraries moments after the bill's House sponsor said any inappropriate book should be burned. School librarians have become a Republican target for pushing for more oversight on materials provided to children — especially those touching on racism and LGBTQ issues.
