In the summer of 2021 TD launched a new online community for its customers called the TD Advisory Panel and it appears they are ready to make a big push for their customers to join it now. Once you join you can earn points for sharing your thoughts and once you've earned enough points you can redeem them for gift cards plus be entered into monthly sweepstakes. It appears that there will be surveys (you have to complete one to join) and other methods for participating with the community.
Who is eligible
Residents of Canada who are 18 and older that are TD customers can join the TD Advisory Panel. To join you'll complete a survey asking some basic banking and financial questions and then be sent a confirmation email to complete the joining process. This is what you should after clicking the link in the confirmation email: The Rewards
You will earn points for participating in the community and once you earn 500 points you can redeem for a $5 gift card. These points are earned over and above the monthly sweepstakes entries you get for participating. Here's an excerpt from the panel detailing the rewards:A big THANK YOU for your dedication to our TD Advisory Community. In addition to the current monthly sweepstakes draw of 3 winners that we select, we are offering a new way to reward members for participating in activities. Here is some information to help you get started in earning and redeeming your well-deserved reward points.
One you’ve reached 500 points, you’re eligible to redeem for a $5 gift card.
When you would like to redeem, click on the “Points Balance and Redemption” survey under Latest Activities. You’ll see your points balance and if you have reached the 500 redemption level, you’ll see the “Redeem” button.
Based on the FAQ the monthly sweepstakes appear to be for a $150 Amazon Gift Card.
Wrapping it up
Even though the TD Advisory Panel reward program was first announced in November of 2021 it appears that the bank is just getting the ball rolling on it right now as they have reached out to sites like ours to pass along the details of the Advisory Panel. Personally I joined the panel about an hour before posting this so I don't have any more details about it outside of what I have written. I'll definitely follow this post up in perhaps a few weeks or few months time to share my experience with it. In the meantime if you are a TD customer feel free to join the panel as well!
