Here's a head up - booking major chain hotels via Club 1 in most cases means you won't earn points or elite status credit with that hotel chain's loyalty program and you may or may not receive your status benefits on your stay. However, if the savings are worth it, this is the way to go. You just need to compare to see if Club 1's pricing is that much better where it makes sense to give up your points and elite status earning. For hotels that don't have loyalty programs, or perhaps they do but are one you don't frequent enough to make earning points worthwhile you'll definitely want to try Club 1 in your comparison shopping.
