How to add background image to Safari start page in iOS 15?

iOS 15 comes with many innovations focused on privacy and efficiency. It also brought a new feature for Safari, such as tab groups. There is another innovation that does not stand out much for Safari users. When you open a new tab, a beautiful wallpaper and color show can also welcome you instead of an empty background.

To change the background image in Safari on an iPhone with iOS 15, simply follow the steps below:

  • After opening the Safari app, switch to a new tab. To do this, click the double square icon in the lower right corner.
  • You will see the open tabs as thumbnails. Open a new tab by clicking the plus icon in the lower left corner.
  • You are now on the customized start page. Scroll to the bottom and click the Edit button.
  • The Customize Start Page page will appear. Scroll down here and you will see the Background Image box. Here are the various background images that Apple has available for you. You can also select one of your own images from Photos by clicking the + icon.

  • After making your selection, you can exit this page.
  • You will now see the new background image in every new Safari tab.
