Travellers from smaller countries, what's the most unexpected connection to your home country you've encountered while overseas? I'm from Singapore and we're a reasonably well-travelled bunch (good airport, great passport) and no matter where I go I pretty much know someone from this island has already tread that path.So I'm getting out of a bus in Gisenyi, Rwanda near the Congolese border and the first guy to come up to me to ask if I wanted to change money was a local dude...wearing a Ngee Ann Polytechnic (a Singaporean school) t-shirt.
