San Antonio River Walk reviews

 The San Antonio River Walk is a city park and private pedestrian street in San Antonio, Texas, located one level below the automobile street. The River Walk curves and turns under bridges as two parallel sidewalks lined with restaurants and shops, connecting key tourist attractions from the Shops at the Rivercenter to the Arneson River Theater, Marriage Island, La Villita, HemisFair Park and the Tower. From the Life Building to the San Antonio Museum of Art, the Pearl, and the city's five Spanish colonial missions that have been named World Heritage Sites, including the Alamo. During the annual spring Fiesta San Antonio, the River Parade features flowery floats floating on the river.

San Antonio River Walk

• A beautiful and quiet walkway connected to some of the best hotels and cuisines downtown San Antonio has to offer. There are river boat tours, but I prefer to walk on the path. It gets a bit shady with people after 11pm but usually disappears at sunrise.
  
  
  
• My husband and I stayed at the Riverwalk for a weekend getaway. I love the view and the fact that you walk along the river to get to most places. Bring comfortable shoes and be careful when using the Google walking map. Walking along the street across the river to go to the mall, I'm sure we'll become more familiar with the area when we go a few more times. I highly recommend you research different hotels and where they are on the river based on where you plan to go.
  
  
• Enjoyable day and night. Less crowded on weekdays. We were here all week. Beautifully lit up at night. Lots of restaurants to choose from. Novelty shops along the way. We got there by bus or Lyft
  
  
• We eat outside at 70 degrees, there is a nice breeze in the middle of November. The police were recommending their favorite restaurants here. It glows and moves in a way that a photo cannot show, but apart from the movement, all the photos ppl post really show the magic of this place. Cool. We are from Seattle. Worth a few visits.
  
  
• Wow! So far so many good things about this place. Sometimes I felt like I was in Bourbon Street and sometimes I was in The Venetian in Vegas.This was definitely a must-see if you're in San Antonio.Bring comfortable shoes if you plan to stay for a while. Lots of quaint shops and cool bars and restaurants - drop by Thirsty Aztek!nI'll definitely be back when I have more time to explore.
  
  
• The River Walk is beautiful, tranquil and full of history, ducks and nature (with different plants and flowers). Take a moment to read about the different statues, bridges, bells and other artifacts. I'm sure it's even more beautiful with lights at night. You can walk around the water and on the arched road bridges. There are restrooms, restaurants and gift stalls and boutiques. I saw people getting on the tour boat with a tour guide down the river. There is so much to see and take.
  
  
• We love the historic downtown on and around River Walk. Downtown, you can hire one of the beautiful horse-drawn carriages to ride while learning about the history of downtown San Antonio. You can visit the Alamo, one of the few historic hotels, take a haunted tour, or go down the beautiful River Walk.
  
  
• As night falls, the city center and River Walk light up and this place looks almost magical. There are outdoor cafes and a jazz band that performs almost daily. You can dine at the Hard Rock Cafe or one of the other great restaurants available. Boat trips and kayak rentals are also available. Our boat guide was really great, explaining a good history of the different areas we passed.
  
  
• You can go there during the day like I did and it was beautiful, a lot of people think that literally the center of everything in San Antonio is by the Alamo riverbank. But people, it's another world at night. I fell in love with that place. When night falls, the River Walk lights up, making the place look magical. Along the walk you can find fine dining, comfort food or many bars. Shops and restaurants to meet all preferences and prices. Music everywhere, cozy atmosphere with good vibes. The boating tour is really good, lots of art, history mixed with jokes make the tour enjoyable. I recommended, don't miss that spot if you travel to San Antonio!
  
  
• I had a great time at San Antonio River Walk! It was amazing!! Tickets were about $14.99 for adults and it was just my husband and I. They explained all the sites and restaurants we had all seen and explained all the different events that happened there on the River Walk. It was great to hear about the different buildings and what they stand for and who built them and how some were lost in the Great Depression. Check it out, because I definitely recommend going, it's such a relaxing experience
