Fethiye Turkey The 20 best Place to visit, Things to Do in, Attractions

Fethiye , Mugla 's up to one of the most beautiful districts. For me, it is one of the most exceptional places in the world, exactly the place to live. It has many beauties from Ölüdeniz, the most beautiful sea of our country, to the Lycian Way, Turkey 's first long-distance hiking route, from the Knight Island, where the Knights of Rhodes once lived, to BabadaÄŸ, one of the 100 mountains that should be protected in the world, and the magnificent Butterfly Valley at its foothills.

Apart from the beauties it shows you, there are coves, beaches, islands and nature that fascinate you wherever you look. Fethiye, which offers many reasons for you to come to it again and again, is valuable and special enough to become a world brand in tourism. Do not neglect to spare time for himself, explore without rushing.

Understanding Fethiye

Fethiye is built on the ancient city of Telmessos , where the settlement has continued uninterrupted since the first day it was founded . It took its name from the poet Telmessos, son of Apollo, one of the gods mentioned in mythology. It became an important trade center between Caria and Lycia. Its historical name, Anastasipolis, later changed to MeÄŸri.

It was renamed Fethiye in 1934 out of respect for our first aviator martyr Fethi Bey. Oludeniz, the first place that comes to mind when Fethiye is mentioned, is the most popular center of the district, but Fethiye is not just Oludeniz. It is the most unique district of our country in terms of the diversity of settlements and touristic places and the difference in character.

Each place has its own unique character. Its coastal towns, villages and bays are a holiday destination in itself. That's why I always say, even if you go to Fethiye many times, there is always something that makes you go again. First, let me give you some information about Fethiye.

  • Fethiye Center is located on the edge of the bay with the same name. The old bazaar section preserves the character of an Anatolian town, while Fethiye Marina is located in front of it. When I made my first Fethiye visit in 1995, I stayed at the teacher's house in the center. In the following years, there were times when I preferred the center to stay. You won't get bored if you stay here, the bazaar is lively.

Recently opened very good venues stretch along Kordon. A magnificent sunset view awaits you every evening. Again, affordable hotels and hostels are located in this region. Fethiye Harbor has surrounded a beautiful coastline. There are also extraordinarily beautiful romantic hotels with stunning views of the gulf around.

  • Calis is a holiday center that is home to many hotels, restaurants and souvenir shops, surrounding the Gulf of Fethiye with its kilometers long wide and sandy beach. Hotels and resorts are lined up along Calis Beach. The sea is delicious, the places are good, the prices are reasonable.

Even on the hottest summer days, it is fresh at all hours of the day with the breeze coming from the sea. Calis, where you can gaze at the horizon for hours, where the sky turns orange and blue intersects in the evening, is very active at night. If you are bored with the crowded holiday environment, this is the place for you. Let me also say that it has quiet corners.

  • Hisarönü is the region between Fethiye Center and Ölüdeniz, which hosts the city's mid-level hotels and stands out with its nightlife. Due to its location, it is close to everywhere, at the intersection of transportation routes. Best accommodation if you have a car. Due to the forested area surrounding it and the height of its level, the weather is very nice.

There are many apartments, hotels and villas in the region where British tourists are predominant. Since there are many foreigners living in Hisarönü, all menus, venues and shops are adjusted accordingly, you feel yourself in a different town at every step. This is the center of Fethiye nightlife entertainment.

  • Ovacık, on the other hand, is next to Hisarönü, at the point connected to the slope, with a cooler breeze and fresh air. A little further away from the crowded and noisy places of Hisarönü, it offers a calm and decent environment.

  • Kayaköy was a ghost village in the first years I went, I had a look and left. It has flourished and flourished in the past 20 years and is on its way to becoming an art village where the intellectuals who fled the city settled. There are very interesting places, art camps, workshops and cafes. If the intellectual environment attracts you, stay here.

  • Oludeniz must be one of the best known places in our country. One thing I just noticed is that when Ölüdeniz is mentioned, most people remember Ölüdeniz National Park, and the name of the neighborhood next to it is Ölüdeniz. When I mention Ölüdeniz in this blog post, I will probably be talking about this town.

I mostly recommend this place to those who ask me about a holiday route. A perfect holiday route with a beautiful beach in front of it, hotels and places suitable for every budget. Boat tours, water sports, paragliding offices, shopping venues… whatever you are looking for is here. It has an epic beauty with its lagoon and Belcegiz beach. Immaculate, crystal clear sea, wide beach, lush green mountains and tranquility.
  • Faralya is a village settlement that comes after passing the Butterfly Valley. In recent years, many wonderful boutique hotels have opened here, each with a fascinating view. In some, they even go just to go and stay, to be isolated from the world. There are also very shabby, small pensions run by the villagers. I stayed once at George House Faralya and twice at Mango&Mandarin Hotel.

  •  Kabak is one of the shining stars of our country, not just Fethiye, which reminds you of Olympos if you know it. Especially the white collar, intellectual youth has taken this place on their radar for the last few years. Tree houses, bungalows deserve this attention with the magnificent texture of the valley and of course its magnificent beach and sea.

In recent years, hotels of magnificent beauty and quality that will amaze people have been opened here. The prices of some of them are astonishing, but finding a place is an issue. These unique places play a very important role in the transformation of Kabak into a cool and prestigious place. If you want to mingle with young people, this is your place.

Go to one of these points in the light of the information according to your budget and heart. If you stay one night in the villages on the Lycian Way route, your soul will be purified. If you want to stay in quiet, serene places away from the crowds, go to Yanıklar Village. Fethiye is one of my favorite regions despite the overcrowding during the tourist season. You can visit every season, not just in the summer.
Fethiye Attractions

1. Fethiye Center Help Beach, Küçük Boncuklu Bay

Although Fethiye Center is mostly neglected by being overshadowed by the magnificent beauties of this geography, it is worth seeing in my opinion. Paspatur Bazaar, the historical heart of the district, isa pleasant area with various shops, stylish gift shops, bars and cafes. Its historical texture and ambiance is exquisite, getting better every day.

Authentic houses with wooden bay windows reveal the historical spirit that connects the bazaar with the past. Visit the shops on 95th street, called Umbrella Street, and do some shopping. The Old Glass dating back to the 18th century and the Fethiye Turkish Bath, which is still in service today, are located inside the bazaar.

Fethiye tradesmen look at you as a guest. Whichever shop I entered, which tradesmen I chatted with, they were all comfortable people who gave information without worrying about selling anything. The people I met in front of the door offered tea. This attitude alone was enough to make me love this city even more.

Add the Fish Market in the bazaar to your list of places to visit in Fethiye . Here, you can cook the delicious seafood you choose in the restaurants and enjoy an affordable dinner with violin and clarinet accompaniment. Even if you don't go to dinner, visit in the evening to see the ambiance. It reminded me of night markets in Asia.

Take a long walk in Kordon at sunset. Martyr Fethi Bey Park, arranged on the Fethiye coastline, is perfect for families with children. The surroundings of Fethiye Harbor are also exquisite, when you go up to the slopes, you capture wonderful photo frames.

Casa Margot Hotel, which has a wonderful sea view in the region known as Karagözler , was one of the places I stayed, I recommend it to romantic couples and even honeymooners. Stay in rooms with jacuzzis overlooking Fethiye Bay. The hotel's Citrus Restaurant, which offers Mediterranean flavors, is a wonderful option for dinner and breakfast.

2. Fethiye Archeology Museum

Fethiye Archeology Museum reveals the historical heritage of Fethiye, which is a rich geography in terms of ancient cities, albeit partially. Considering the number of ancient cities around, I was expecting a better museum, it could be turned into a much better museum. Still worth seeing. Many archaeological and ethnographic artifacts from the Ancient Age to the Byzantine Period, from the MenteÅŸe Principality to the Ottoman Empire are exhibited in the museum.

Fethiye Museum visiting hours are between 08.00-19.00 in summer (1 April – 31 October), 08.30-17.00 in winter (31 October – 1 April). It is open to visitors 7 days a week. Fethiye Museum entrance fee is 10TL. Museum Card is valid. 10 minutes walking distance from Paspatur bazaar. (The museum is temporarily closed to visitors due to maintenance and improvement works, check before you go).

3. Amintas Rock Tombs

Amintas Rock Tombs , located at the foot of the slope, where you can walk in 15 minutes from Fethiye old city center Paspatur, are perhaps the most neglected symbols of the city. The tombs carved into natural rock are among the rare artifacts that have survived from the Lycian Period. It is named after King Amintas, who is thought to be the ruler of Telmessos Ancient City.

You have to take some trouble to get out, but it is worth seeing these thousands of years old mausoleums and going up close. The condition of Fethiye rock tombs, which were built with great effort by carving the rocks on a difficult slope, is not very good, it is sad to see the graffiti writings on it. Most are in a deplorable condition, but with stunning sea views. You can also stop by on the way to Kayaköy.

Fethiye Rock Tombs visiting hours are between 09.00-20.00 in the summer period (April 1 – 31 October), 08.00-17.00 in the winter period (31 October – 1 April). It is open to visitors 7 days a week. Fethiye Rock Tombs entrance fee is 7TL. Museum Card is valid. Add the awe-inspiring tombs to your list of places to visit in Fethiye.

4. Calis Beach

Calis Beach is the holiday spot of Fethiye centre. It is located on the same gulf, 5 km from Fethiye town centre. The wide, sandy and easily accessible beach, which is kilometers long, is among the best beaches of Fethiye with its clean sea and magnificent views. It is also one of the habitats of the Caretta Carettas.

There are many hotels, pensions, cafes and restaurants along the beach. There are also suitable opportunities for water sports activities. It is a quieter place compared to other crowded beaches. There is no entrance fee to Calis Beach, you can lay your towel wherever you want and enjoy the beach free of charge. You can choose this place as a holiday destination in Fethiye.

5. Kayaköy, Fethiye

Kayaköy , a neighborhood of Fethiye , is an old Greek village. Kayaköy, formerly known as Levissi, was a lively area where nearly 10 thousand people lived until 1923. The village, which was founded on the ancient city of Karmilassos, a few kilometers from Hisarönü, was established on the slope of a hill.

Kayaköy, one of the places to visit in Fethiye, remained empty for many years after it was abandoned with the population exchange. With its narrow streets stretching between pine, pomegranate and fig trees, houses, churches, chapels and extraordinary scenery, Kayaköy is now being revived. Kayaköy Art Camp is a special place that can attract the attention of art lovers with its yoga, workshops, trips and camping area. There is very detailed information on the website of sanatkampi.com, check it out.

It is certain that it will become one of the prominent places of our country with its boutique hotels, workshops and venues in time. Many beautiful and interesting places opened up. Rokka Restaurant with a view of Kayaköy is one of the best restaurants not only in Kayaköy but also in Fethiye. The restaurant serves Mediterranean cuisine and meat-based dishes. Rokka's historic mansion also has a wine cellar where special tastings are held. I am sure you will like the ambiance.

Senit Breakfast House , which makes sourdough bread in Kayaköy , is delicious as a boutique breakfast place. It has a warm and friendly atmosphere where you can have a quiet breakfast.

Kayak̦y visiting hours are between 08.00-19.30 in the summer period (1 April Р31 October), 08.30-17.30 in the winter period (31 October Р1 April). It is open to visitors 7 days a week. Kayakoy entrance fee is 10 TL. Museum Card is valid.

6. Gemile Island Gemile Bay

Gemile Island isone of the important natural protected areas in our country, together with Gemiler Bay and Gemiler Valleylocated across the island. This is the second largest and most beautiful bay in the region after Ölüdeniz Bay. When you get off from Kayaköy, a magnificent view awaits you.

Gemiler Island, formerly known as Aya Nicola, is 9 km from Fethiye. On the island, which draws attention with its beautiful sandy beach and its structure surrounded by olive and pine trees, the frescoes are still intact, and the remains of Byzantine and Early Christian churches can be seen. You can go down to the bay by a narrow road that continues through the red pine forests on the Kayaköy road.

Gemile Island visiting hours are 08.00-19.30 in the summer period (1 April – 31 October), 08.30-17.30 in the winter period (31 October – 1 April). It is open to visitors 7 days a week. Gemile Island entrance fee is 12TL. Museum Card is valid.

7. Oludeniz, Fethiye (dead sea)

Ölüdeniz is a seaside neighborhood of Fethiye. It is half an hour away from the center of Fethiye. If you don't have a car, you can also come here with the minibuses departing from Fethiye center. It was a small town in the years I first visited, now it has developed into a holiday resort that responds to every need.

There are wonderfully inviting venues on the street that runs along the beach; cafes, restaurants, boutique hotels, bars, paragliding and agencies offering other active sports services… This is a vacation spot in itself. Those who want to sunbathe, who want to enjoy water sports.

Just in front of Ölüdeniz Town lies the crystal clear Belcegiz Beach . After traveling for years in the Far East, I was surprised to see that there is such a colorful and clear beach in the country; in fact, I had perhaps never noticed its beauty before. It is one of the most popular beaches of Fethiye with its deep blue sea and crystal clear sea.

The public beach is free, there is no time limit for visiting. You throw your towel and swim in the sea, when you get hungry, you dive into one of the cafes and restaurants right behind. The walking path just behind it is used as a paragliding landing pad. While sunbathing and swimming, you watch the paragliders gliding down to the runway next door, it's awesome!

When you come to Fethiye, make sure to take a boat tour. There are many coves and islands to see. You can create your own group and rent a boat and travel that way. We traveled with Mustafa Kemal Paksoy ( 0 536 2884576) serving in the town of Ölüdeniz to unique bays where daily tour boats do not enter.

8. Oludeniz National Park Oludeniz

Ölüdeniz National Park is arguably one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. You can see this in many prestigious magazines or lists around the world. Known as the 'land of light and sun' in ancient times, Ölüdeniz is a place where you can enjoy the sea and sun all day with its turquoise and blue color and beautiful sands.

The point where Ölüdeniz Lagoon is located is called Ölüdeniz Nature Park. Oludeniz town center can be easily reached on foot. You can come by minibus departing from Fethiye center. The blue flag national park is operated by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.

Sunbeds and umbrellas can be rented in Ölüdeniz Blue Lagoon, there are also cafeteria and buffet services for food and beverage. Keep in mind that it is too crowded to step on weekends and holidays. It has a magnificent sea and beach, but the most beautiful places are hired by businesses that offer sunbeds and umbrellas.

There is not even a place to throw towels. Sea shoes are a must as the sea is stone. It gets deep all of a sudden, non-swimmers should keep that in mind. Even if you go for meters in the lagoon at the back, it is shallow, so it is safer for families with children and non-swimmers.

Oludeniz Nature Park visiting hours are between 08.00-20.00 in the summer period (1 April – 31 October), 08.30-17.00 in the winter period (31 October – 1 April). Ölüdeniz Nature Park entrance fee is 8TL, student 4TL, car 25TL.

9. Kıdrak Bay Kidrak Cove The sea of the hotels region after Kıdrak Bay

Kıdrak Bay is on the left of the road on the way from Ölüdeniz town to Butterfly Valley. It is located at the bottom of the hill covered with pine trees behind it. Since the cove is under the road to Butterfly Valley, even if you don't go swimming, it is incredibly enjoyable to look at the view from above.

Compared to other bays of the city, this place is calmer. It has soft white sand. The wavy sea deepens after the beach. The beach is stony, it would be better to wear sea shoes. The water must be from the currents, it is quite cool, you may even feel cold when there is no sun, but this makes it even more attractive to me.

It has a private business, they expect you to spend 100 TL to benefit, I have not seen such exaggeration anywhere else. The entrance fee is 24TL for the car and 8TL per person. Although you pay for the entrance, sunbeds, sunbeds-umbrellas are 25TL. There is a shower, toilet, food and beverage service, picnic and camping area.

It takes 30-40 minutes to walk to Kidrak Bay from Ölüdeniz center. Some of the best hotels in Fethiye are listed in other large and small bays that follow the bay.

10. Butterfly Valley

When you look at Butterfly Valley from above, the color of blue you see is unique to me! This is a rare natural wonder. It is an interesting valley, 5-7 km away from Ölüdeniz, surrounded by mountains with an average altitude of 350 m. You can go by boat from Ölüdeniz for 30 TL per person. Valley entrance is 6TL.

The region, which takes its name from the butterflies called 'Jarsey Tiger', seen between July and September, is a small paradise on earth with its small waterfall flowing in summer and winter, wide sandy beach, clean sea, sparkling pebbles and pink oleander flowers adorning the environment.

The valley, where transportation is provided by boats from Ölüdeniz, is also the meeting place of world travelers. Home to more than 80 butterfly species, the valley endemic species attracts botanists and entomologists thanks to its quiet and peaceful environment. You can stay in tents or tree houses in the valley where there are climbing routes.

By setting up a tent in the valley, enjoy the sun and the sea during the day, and the stars and entertainment at night. Affordable camping areas have showers, electricity, toilets, breakfast and dinner facilities. Rather than being inside the valley, I like to watch and photograph the valley by the Ovacık turnoff to the Lycian Way.

11. Faralya

Faralya , like all other regions of Fethiye, is another shining star. It comes right after Butterfly Valley. It is a wonderful place with a magnificent view of the Mediterranean, scattered village houses on the slopes, super luxury villas and boutique hotels.

I first visited Faralya in 2003. It was a very small area on its own. I stayed in a rather shabby, local-run George House cottage overlooking the valley. The taste remained in my palate. On the slope of Faralya, I used to go to the valley from the slope road that goes down to the Butterfly Valley, now as far as I know, this road is closed because it is dangerous.

Faralya is like a shelter where you can go to be alone with your lover or yourself. I stayed 2 times in Mango&Mandarin Hotel , which is one of the most special boutique hotels not only in Faralya but also in Turkey . You can note it as a honeymoon hotel.

12. Pumpkin Cove Kabak Beach

Kabak Bay has become one of the popular holiday spots for young people in recent years. This is a paradise with its bay stretching for almost 200 meters. The bay, which is approximately 17 km from Fethiye Ölüdeniz, consists of a deep canyon-shaped valley surrounded by mountains on three sides, and a sandy beach of the valley opening to the sea.

You can stay in tree houses and tents in Kabak Bay, which is a kind of twin and close neighbor of Butterfly Valley. With its texture away from concrete, it is perfect for camping and laziness. It is a perfect retreat for those who want to get away from the chaos of city life, visual and sound pollution and be close to nature.

In the depths of Kabak Valley, there is Aladere Waterfall, which has a magnificent beauty . The easiest way to reach the waterfall is by following the Lycian Way route in 1.5 hours through the forest. The other road is quite rocky and consists of a track where experienced hikers can go. You should have good shoes and lots of water.

You have to come to the upper part of Kabak Bay with the minibuses departing from Ölüdeniz and get on the minibuses that go down to the bay from this point. The cost of the minibus that goes to Kabak Bay from the main road is 7.5TL. Kabak Bay, which is a first-degree protected area, can also be visited by private tour boats departing from Ölüdeniz.

13. Lycian Way View of The Edge by Oyster Residences in Alinca Village, Cennet Bay

The Lycian Way , which was used as a trade route by the Lycians in ancient times , is a world-famous trekking route stretching between Antalya and Fethiye gulfs. The 535 km long road stretching along the sea in parts and between the magnificent ancient cities is Turkey's first long-distance walking path. It is cited as one of the top 10 long-distance hiking routes in the world by various sources.

From untouched coves, mountains, desolate villages; As you pass through ancient cities such as Tlos , Pınara , Xanthos Letoon , Patara , Olympos , Simena , Myra , you feel like you have traveled in time. This journey can also turn into an inner journey where you will discover yourself.

The best times for the Lycian Way tour are the last weeks of April and the first week of May in the spring, and the last week of September and the first weeks of October in the fall. When the summer is very hot, you can walk the short trails. Fethiye has expert guides and companies on Lycian Way tours.

The village of Altınca , established at an altitude of approximately 650 meters in Fethiye, is one of the villages that has attracted attention in recent years. It has a magnificent view that lays the İnce Burun, which you can't get enough of, under your feet. All of the protruding noses are called Yediburunlar.

It takes 45 minutes by car from Ölüdeniz town to Alnca. Before reaching the Butterfly Valley, I took the road leading to the left slope by car. The Lycian Way tracks are located on this road. There is a challenging but wonderful hiking trail of 7 km, which goes to the village of Altınca, passing through Kabak Valley. The Lycian Way, which splits into two after Alnca, leads one to the Ancient City of Sdiyma through Boğaziçi Village and the other to the Gey District and the magnificent seven capes.

I stayed at The Edge by Oyster Residences , located in the village of Alinca, on the slopes of Fethiye Cennet Bay . It is an exquisite accommodation option that has been published in design magazines, has its own unique architecture, blends both with the taste of a chalet and with modernity. A complete shelter, the view of the huge terrace in front of it is worth a lifetime.

14. Yaniklar Village

Yaniklar is a quiet village on the Gocek road, 15 minutes away from the center of Fethiye. But the sunsets are not at all alone, you can swim in the sea with an incredible riot of colors every evening. It is perfect for those who worry about the crowd, a classic holiday and expensiveness.

It is ideal for relaxing with its beautiful coves, citrus trees and friendly people. Take a walk under the rarely grown Log Trees in the world , go on boat trips, lie on the sun lounger and read your book in the region, which stands out with its eco-friendly hotels . Yonca Lodge, located in Yanıklar, easily enters the top ten of my favorite hotels.

Sometimes I can't even call Yonca Lodge a hotel, it's an environmentally friendly, family run business where you'll feel at home. There is a long beach right in front of it and a pool for those who wish. It has a large garden and sandy beach where you can stay away from everyone. Moreover, while your feet are buried in the sand, you can eat delicious meals overlooking the magnificent sunset view. Yes this hotel is very romantic!

15. Yeşilüzümlü Village

Yeşilüzümlü is a Fethiye village on the foothills of the Taurus Mountains, surrounded by lush pine forests, able to protect the village atmosphere from the wrath of urbanization. The village, whose history dates back to the Ancient Lycian Period, has been one of the most popular escape routes in recent years for those who want to get away from the crowds of Fethiye.

It has undergone a rapid transformation with settlers coming from big cities. There are also a considerable number of settled English families in the village. It is known for its magnificent nature, quiet life and the Morel Mushroom Festival held in April every year.

In the village, which takes its name from the vineyards grown in and around the village for centuries, many people produce wine at home. It is 18 km away from Fethiye town centre. You can take Yeşilüzümlü Village on a half-day excursion route along with Yanıklar Village, Kadyanda Ancient City. The chalet Dikencik Evleri , located on the Kadyanda road, may be your accommodation choice. The orchids in his garden were incredible.

16. Kadianda Ancient City

Kadyanda (Cadianda), the ancient city within the borders of Yeşilüzümlü Village. Unfortunately, the remains of the ancient city, which was the last to join the Lycian League, are not in very good condition. The unearthed theater, agora, stadium, bath complex and mausoleums can be seen. Rather than seeing the ancient city of Kadyanda, known as an athletics center in ancient times, go to see the beauty of the region and the view of the exquisite geography of Fethiye over the pine forests.

17. Babadag and Paragliding

Babadag is one of the 100 mountains in the world to be protected, on the skirts of which Fethiye lies and is home to some of the best paragliding slopes in the world. The westernmost extension of the Taurus Mountains stretching along our Mediterranean coasts. It is covered with endemic old cedar and red pine forests since the ice age. It takes 30-40 minutes to reach the unique mountain by car from Ölüdeniz.

You pass through quite winding roads and ascend above the clouds. For those who do not have a vehicle, there are minibus services in the season. I was fascinated when I saw the view of the cafe located at 1700 meters where paragliding jumps are made. Due to the adverse weather conditions, I had to wait for hours at the cafe on this mountain rising on the shoulder of Ölüdeniz, without ever complaining about my condition.

Even if I don't jump with a parachute, I said to myself that I would come just to enjoy such a view. That's why I added BabadaÄŸ to the list of places to visit in Fethiye. If the winding roads do not prevent you from being beautiful, it is worth going to BabadaÄŸ for at least once, even if you do not jump with paragliding. When the Skywalk Fethiye Cable Car project is finished, more people will witness the beauties of Fethiye.

Fethiye Paragliding is an activity that should be put at the top of the list of those who ask what to do in Fethiye. Some of us are unnecessarily frightened, but put your worries aside and add it to your to-do list before you die. There is nothing to be afraid of, just the first jump, the adrenaline rises, then when you see the magnificent view of Ölüdeniz and the Mediterranean, you forget everything and start to enjoy the moment. Be a little brave and do not deprive yourself of these beauties.

Fethiye paragliding is done every day when the weather is suitable, 12 months of the year. Every year, nearly 100,000 adventure enthusiasts jump off the mountain. They pick you up from your hotel by shuttle and take you to BabadaÄŸ paragliding take-off runway in half an hour. Here, paragliding pilots give you training, you put on special clothes and take flight.

After your paragliding flight, you can join the Fethiye Jeep Safari tour, which is one of the most demanded activities in Fethiye . During the full-day event, visitors go to Saklıkent, Tlos Ancient City, Yakapark and Secretkent Waterfall, water fights and mud baths are held.

18. Saklıkent National Park

Saklıkent National Park is a canyon formed by the Karaçay, a tributary of the EÅŸen Stream, which draws the Antalya-MuÄŸla provincial border. The national park, which is flooded by visitors in the summer months, is also an important recreation area of the region. It is located within the borders of Seydikemer district of MuÄŸla, which was established by the division of Fethiye district. Places to visit around Fethiye are among the places you should add to your list.

19. Fethiye Boat Tour

Fethiye boat tours start every day from Fethiye Harbor or Ölüdeniz at 10:30. It is a good idea to make a reservation at least one night in advance. Blue cruise boats making the Mediterranean route stop by Fethiye. Whether it's daily boat tours or boat accommodation, there are many comfortable alternatives.

You can visit magnificent bays and islands with the 12 Islands Tour , which is the famous boat tour of Fethiye . The 12 Islands, which consist of 12 large and small islands in close distance to each other, lined up in the west and northeast direction of Fethiye Bay should be seen. You will be able to stop by the stops such as Knight , Yassıcalar, Kızılada, Shipyard, Gemiler, Göcek, Zeytinli, Domuz, Delikli Island, which are world-famous and where many magnificent houses are located , and swim in the sea.

20. Göcek

Göcek is a rare town on the coast of Fethiye Bay, where the insatiable blue sea and lush forest texture are blended. The quiet little fishing town started to make a name for itself many years ago thanks to Turgut Özal, and then it turned out to be one of the most beautiful places of yacht tourism in the Mediterranean. I visit at least once a year if I have the opportunity.

Unlike popular touristic towns such as Bodrum, Alaçatı, it is a holiday center where consumer culture is less frequent and a similar group of holidaymakers has been visiting regularly for years. Its economy is based on yacht, boat and marina business. After all, it has the most beautiful bays and bends in the world. People on the world's richest lists, accustomed to seeing huge yachts.

I made my first visit here in 1999, it consisted of only a few streets, now it is home to some of the incredible luxury high-end hotel chains. The bazaar is very cute, I love going in and out of every shop here. Going on a boat tour is a must!

Within the scope of Göcek boat tours, the most beautiful islands in the Gulf of Fethiye are visited. Yassıca Islands, Tersane Island, Cleopatra Bay, Bedri Rahmi Bay and Pig Island are some of them. There are also private boat rental options for those who do not like the crowd on the boat tour and want to determine their own route.

Fethiye , which is literally a corner of paradise in Turkey , is a place that makes people addicted to itself with its sea, beaches and nature. If you want to get tired of the chaos of the city and immerse yourself in the bosom of nature and the sea, include Fethiye and its geography in your route. Let me tell you from the beginning, you will definitely be addicted.
