When you present treatment cases to your patients, you probably have the standard information you want every patient to understand. These could include financial terms, a disclaimer that insurance estimates are just estimates, a time limit explaining how long your office will cover the prices quoted, or perhaps a line for the patient's signature on the printout.

You can include this information in a Case Note Template and then set this template as the default for all Treatment Plan Case Notes.

To create (or edit) case note templates, open any patient's Treatment Planner and select Settings (A) in the lower left corner. Then select Template Setup (B).

Type a short Template Name (you'll use this later to find your template from a menu) and write a note in the Template Text field. Click Add to save.

If you want to change an existing template, select the template name, change the Template Text and click Change to save the changes.

Back in the Settings panel of the Treatment Planner, find the Default Case Note Template menu. Select the template with the default information you created.

For each new treatment plan case you create, this message will be automatically added to the case note going forward.
