1st time travelers, My travel travel tips on a budget and some basics These are some of the things I do/use while traveling to ThailandGet a translator for your phone (must have)https://ift.tt/3luyfQX "Grab", this is the Thailand equivalent of "Uber" and "Uber eats". This will keep you from getting ripped off by the Thailand Taxi mafia (not joking). If you can arrange your ride from the airport to your hotel before leaving I HIGHLY suggest you do so.https://ift.tt/3p4eu3x VPN, install and learn how to use before you go.https://ift.tt/30XTfrQ a free Google Voice account for free calls/texting to the USA. Install, setup and learn how to use before you go, USA only.https://ift.tt/3CTJ8BA a Google chromecast. Install, setup and learn how to use before you go. Combined with VPN this will allow you to see English content shows on your hotel/room TV. English TV Channels in Thailand are very limited. And if you eat lots of local food like I do you'll eventually end up stuck near a restroom in your hotel room for a day or two.https://ift.tt/3raJ7qI and pay for your first day at a hotel before you leave. Never pay for your hotel with your CC, avoid paying for anything with your CC for that matter. Find your second hotel room once you get there, test the bed in the room is to your liking. Always pay in cash. Weekly/Monthly rooms are typically available just blocks away from main tourist areas and are 1/10th the cost of hotel rooms. They dont advertise on typical internet sites westerners use. Just walk around or ask someone who looks like they might live there full time (heavily tanned typically).hotels.com airbnb.com agoda.comKnow basic Thai etiquetteDO'S and DON'TS in Thailand - YouTubeIf you plan on making Thai friends Get Line chat, its the most popular chat program. Avoid giving out your facebook.https://ift.tt/3HTXW6U some basic Thai you wont regret it. Hello.... thankyou.... ect...https://ift.tt/3153ZEU water only.. ONLYGet bug spray as soon as you can. Never leave your room without bug spray on at least your legs from the knees down. Sand fleas and mosquitoes are very common.Any of the popular Tourist areas will have inexpensive laundry service. This might only apply to my dumb arse. I always have debt/CC problems when I travel. I like to send $1000 western union to myself before I leave. That way if I lose my CC/Debt card I can still get some emergency money. If you travel alone like I do I think is a critical must have.If you plan on traveling outside of the major cities I suggest you find a good offline map softwarehttps://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sygic.auraAdd yours to the post!
