Our bus from Bonito took 5 hours, less than we thought it would. The bus journey was fine, except for the woman sitting next to us who decided to sniff with every single breath, for 3 hours straight. That was torturous.
The hostel we stayed in was in a grand building, and was very nice, though full of rules. After we checked in, we quickly made our way out to see the sights in Parque das Nacoes Indigenas. We saw no less than 28 capybaras! Later we went to a huge shopping mall nearby, and ate some very nice food. In the attached supermarket, a Carrefour, Jayna met a God botherer, who said "so cool!" to everything. We quickly exited and didn't buy the icecream we wanted.

We spent the evening relaxing and preparing for our next adventure.

Overall our Brazilian adventure was good fun, the country is beautiful, the people are friendly and we found are always helpful. The country is easy to navigate and is well set up for tourism, with a modern feel to the places we went to. Whilst we barely scratched the surface of what Brazil can offer, we thoroughly enjoyed our time there and would recommend it to anyone thinking of a hot and humid holiday destination. Just don't forget your mossie spray.
