Living in Lima: Best of Bed and Breakfasts

When one decides to take a vacation to any place, it is obvious to take a break from routine or just to relax.

However most of us spend more money on travelling and transportation than to stay, which is obvious. We all adjust to whatever is available to us to fit our budget. What is observed is that many people are still not aware of the bed and breakfast options. They would spend money on cheap hotels but would not research for B&B options. Let’s see what B&B option does Lima offers us.

  1. 1. 3B Barranco’s B&B: A renowned bed and breakfast with its boutique amenities offer an incredible experience. The rooms are stylized with personal touches and homelike look. The first impression it sets is that of an art gallery. Clear and crisp rooms, bright color decor and spacious rooms make the stay over-comfortable. Nicely located in the center of Barranco, a renowned bohemian district, 3B offers 16 single, double and twin bedrooms on two floors. The single occupancy costs around $63, double and twin occupancy around $74 per night inclusive of breakfast. Pacific Ocean view, Miraflores and LArcomar are all a walk away
  2. 2. Second Home: The place is situated on a top of a cliff giving away the best views to guests. Most of the rooms have ocean view, though few of them are left with garden view. The place is owned by the famous Peruvian sculptor Victor Delfin and Second Home has his creative touches. The garden view room starts at $115 and the costliest Mirador room whose balcony hugs the ocean is at $150 per night. One might get lucky to meet the sculptor himself. Barranco beaches are just a walk away and all nightlife in this art district is too happening.
  3. 3. Posada Monterrico: A real version of what an actual bed and breakfast is, the Posada Monterrico is a sweet and a small house with five guest rooms to offer. The house has a beautiful garden and a pool, where a peacock can be spotted. The B&B is run by Gabby and Hernan, a couple who take care of the guests like their own guests. The rooms are available at $90 with amenities like parking, breakfast and wireless. Easily accessible to other places and malls, Posada Monterrico serves as a perfect bed and breakfast option.
  4. 4. Peru Road Trip B&B: A beautiful six bedroom home converted into a bed and breakfast with two amazing hosts; is what one can probably expect out of this place. Airport pick up and drop are available on request. This B&B is placed next to a zoo called Parque Leyendas which also holds archaeology and botanical gardens. You are welcomed with home-cooked breakfast and coffee. The Lima international airport is also a few minutes away, and the place has malls, shops and supermarkets at a ten minutes distance. The outside sitting area or the patio can be used for BBQ nights. The rooms are rated at $30 and are worth the hospitality and the trip.

Lima has some of the best accommodation options and one can find B&Bs with some real awesome hosts. Peruvians are very friendly by nature and will make your stay worthwhile and worth recommending.
